Auckland Ice Hockey players are placed into teams according to their age groups. For 2011 the age splits are:

Peewees - Under 13 years old by 31 December 2011

Midgets - 13 to 15 years old by 31 December 2011

Juniors - 16 to 19 years old by December 2011
