Learn to Play is a great new initiative from the International Ice hockey federation. It is designed to provide children who would like to learn how to play ice hockey a comprehensive introduction to the skills required and the basics of playing this exciting game.

The program is specifically designed for boys and girls attending Primary and Intermediate Schools , and provides an opportunity for those children who have never played ice hockey or even skated previously a chance to learn a new sport.

Learn to Play is an internationally recognized introductory program to ice hockey that is taught in 25 countries around the world. It comprises of a series one-hour sessions on the ice, and includes skating, puck handling and basic rules tuition as well as practice games that help reinforce the learning and add to the enjoyment for the participants.

Coach Csaba will run the 2008 on-Ice program at both rinks. Coach Csaba is an experienced player, referee and coach at representative level and really enjoys developing players at all levels. AIHA are very fortunate to have Coach Csaba in this role.

Equipment can be hired at a cost of $25 per term plus $50 refundable bond.
