Regular School Holiday Programme (July)

Monday 15th July – Friday 26th July

  • Daily rate $50
  • Full week $225, early bird discount $25 if paid before 1 July 2013
  • Casual 1 hour morning ice session $15
  • 15th- 19th July, holiday program will be held at Avondale.
  • 22nd- 26th July, holiday program will be held at Botany.

 (Both will be charged to your Club Hub account)

Every Day starts with

  • On ice training: 7.45am - 8.45am
  • Off ice cool down: 9.00am - 9.15am
  • Food break: 9:15am- 10am
  • Off ice training: 10am - 13.00pm
  • Public skating session: 13pm - 2.15pm
  • Off ice training: Stick handling, Shooting, Passing, Soccer and Rugby.

Equipment

  • Sport shoes for off ice training.
  • Off ice training clothing. (shorts/ extra t-shirt)

AIHA and New Zealand Ice Hockey Federation are proud to be hosting top Swedish coaches who will be running a five day players camp during the school holidays.

When: 29th April-3rd May

Where: Avondale Paradice

  • No Lunch Cost: $290
  • With Lunch Cost: $390

Instructors

Bjorn Pettersson - 40 years of coaching experience in Sweden, employed by Sweden Ice Hockey and International Ice Hockey Federation

Ulf Hall - coached Division 1 teams in Sweden, assistant Sweden U17s.

Carl Andersson - Goalie Coach.

Local coaches will assist on the ice

Camp Structure

The camp will involve on ice sessions each day. These sessions will focus on the skills of hockey - skating, passing, shooting, body checking, with small area and full ice games. One of the three coaches is a goalie coach, and goalies will receive full on and off-ice training as part of the programme. Each day will include off-ice skills development, fitness work, games sessions as well as classroom instruction and video.

  • Target Age: 8 - 19 years old in the 2013 Calender year
  • Limited to 50 players
  • Firm discipline policies on and off-ice
  • On-ice each day
  • Fitness and off-ice skills training daily
  • Instructional lectures, videos and classroom sessions daily
  • Lunch and snacks organised each day (if paid for)
  • Personalised NZIHF certificate at end of week
  • Small area, cross ice and full ice games included in the programme

All participants are expected to be fully equipped with all safety gear, including full-face protection, throat protector as well as having a named water bottle.
