Dear Parent/Player,
It’s been great to see so many of our players back on the ice so far and we can’t wait to have our leagues fully up and running soon so that we can really kick off the 2020 season!
Now that we are at COVID-19 alert level 1, things will largely be back to normal, with no further restrictions on attendance numbers, no need to pre-register for each activity and changing rooms will be open for use.
To help get you back in tip top shape, our friends at Centre Ice are offering free skate sharpening until Sunday 14th June – more information here.
Please find below an update on where we are as a Club at this stage, as well as some important changes to our regular scheduled activities:
Membership Update:
Thank you to those of you who submitted your registration confirmation for the 2020 season – we have received your confirmed playing status and we are now hard at work behind the scenes putting together the schedule and developing team rosters. We hope to have more information about this out to you in the very near future.
Learn to Play:
Due to ice booking changes, there will be changes to our Learn to Play programme as follows:
- Wednesday 10th June at Paradice Avondale: REMAINS 6:00pm – 7:00pm
- Thursday 11th June at Paradice Botany: WAS 6:00pm – 7:00pm. NOW: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
From next week onward, we will resume our regular Learn to Play schedule:
- Mondays at Paradice Avondale – 5:45pm – 6:45pm
- Wednesdays at Paradice Avondale – 5:45pm – 6:45pm
- Thursdays at Paradice Botany – 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Super League:
The 2020 Super League season will start on Sunday 21st June 8:30am at Paradice Botany. We will send an email out with Super League specific information closer to this time.
Bantam & Junior Leagues:
Due to ice booking changes, there will be changes to practice times for our Bantam & Junior leagues as follows:
- Thursday 11th June at Paradice Botany: WAS: 7:30pm – 8:45pm. NOW: 6:45pm – 8:00pm
- Sunday 14th June at Paradice Botany: REMAINS: 8:30am – 10:00am
- Monday 15th June at Paradice Avondale: WAS: 7:30pm – 8:45pm. NOW: 7:00pm – 8:15pm
- Thursday 18th June at Paradice Botany: WAS: 7:30pm – 8:45pm. NOW: 6:45pm – 8:00pm
- Sunday 21st June at Paradice Avondale: WAS: 8:30am – 10:00am. NOW: 8:45am – 10:15am
Adult Hockey League:
The 2020 season will kick off on Saturday 27th June. Now that we’ve received player’s confirmations on their intention to play, we are in the midst of preparing the schedule and final team rosters and will share more information soon.
