This is a friendly reminder that registrations are open for the upcoming Youth Development Camp in Auckland over Labour Weekend.
The camp is available to all male and female players/goalies born from 2004 through to 2015. Coaches will group players by appropriate age and level of experience.
Our aim is to provide New Zealand’s youth players with a FUN and age-appropriate on and off-ice training. Training in the camp is largely based on USA Hockey’s American Development Model.

On-Ice Sessions
- Station based skills sessions
- Small area games and large area games
- Goalie specific training
Off-Ice Sessions
- Player and goalie specific skill training
- Introduction to body-contact gameplay

Who will be coaching?
Players who attend the camp will be joined by some of USA Hockey’s top coaching staff including Bob Mancini, Heather Mannix and Scott Paluch. Players will also be joined by New Zealand’s top coaching staff from all regions, covering the Under 12, Under 15, Under 18, NZIHL and National Team age groups.
Why should I attend?
USA Hockey are world leaders in their approach to age-appropriate training for players and goalies, and also their development approaches across all age groups. Players who attend the camp will benefit directly from the USA Hockey coaching staff’s experience, who will be participating in all areas of the camp.
