Free Girl’s Only Ice Hockey Have a Go Day

Information:

Auckland Ice Hockey Association (AIHA) is pleased to announce a girls only ice hockey “Have-A-Go” Day!

Aligning closely to the World Girls Ice Hockey Weekend promoted by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), this event is open to females of all ages. There is no cost to participate, and protective equipment along with ice skates will be provided.

No experience is necessary and our team will be on the ice with you to teach you how to skate, shoot a puck and much more!

This event is all about fun and introducing new players to ice hockey and there will also be a number of Auckland and New Zealand Women’s Representative players present at the event to both learn from and speak with.

Event Details:
Date: Saturday 28th September 2019
Time: Doors Open 10:00am, on ice time 10:45am – 12:15pm (show up early to get geared up)
Location: Paradice Botany, 490 Ti Rakau Dr, Botany Downs, Auckland

Who can attend?
Any female player

What ages are permitted to attend?
Ages 4 and over

Do I need to know how to skate?
No – our team will be able to cater to all skill levels.

What do I need to bring?
As the inside of the ice rink is cold, please bring warm clothes such as long socks, long pants/trousers, jumper and a water bottle.

Will all of the gear be supplied?
Yes – All necessary gear will be supplied for players taking part on ice.

What is the cost to take part?
This event is free – there is no cost involved.
