2019 Super League Registrations Open

By News

Registration for the 2019 Super League is now open!

The registration process has changed for 2019, so please read below to find out more information.

What Is the Super League?

The U12 Super League offers children under 12 years old an environment to learn or extend their ice hockey skills and game play with the emphasis on fun. Games are cross ice, 3 on 3 format with 2 lines per team.

We will also be launching a brand new Under 9 league, for players aged under 9 to compete against each other in an age appropriate environment. The U9 league games will be held at the same time and rink as the U12 league.

Players will be assigned to a team and will play with this team for the season.

Games will alternate between Avondale & Botany on Sunday mornings as follows:

Avondale: 8:45am – 10:15am
Botany: 8:15am – 9:45am

Who Can Play?

Anyone can play so long as they meet the age requirements.

When Does The Season Start?

The 2019 Super League season will begin on Sunday March 31st, however make sure to register now to secure your spot – there are only a limited amount of places on each team!

The first few weeks of games will be pre-season games so that we can evaluate and evenly allocate players among the teams.

The regular season will begin on Sunday May 5th, after the school holidays.

The full schedule will be available shortly, and we will email you once this is available.

How To Register

Registrations are now processed on AIHA’s Club Management software, ClubHub. You must register to play and be assigned to a team. Players who do not register will not be able to compete in the 2019 season.

There is a registration fee of $50.00 per player, per year. This fee covers the administration costs, registering Super League players with the New Zealand Ice Hockey Federation (NZIHF) so they can play in NZIHF events and tournaments. The fee also covers costs for referees, replacing team jerseys, pucks, trophies and medals for the season. Please support the club by paying your registration fee on time, or even better, early!

Some of you may have used ClubHub previously if you have older children who play in the Bantam or Junior leagues.
